My first BBM fic, so be nice! :) Based on the 'missing moments' idea, set during/after the end of the story. Not mine, don't own etc.

Sacrifice by peitharchia

Because for Ennis, love is about sacrifice. It’s not about what he gives; it’s about what he’s given up.

Warmest Week of the Year – Part 10B (Sequel to “Pine Creek”)

Rating: NC-17 for the story as a whole.
Pairing: Ennis/Jack

“Warmest Week of the year” picks up after “Pine Creek.”
This tale is another one of my canon-based ‘missing moments’ stories taking place in May 1968. It is the account of the first fishing trip
after the initial reunion takes place in September 1967.

Warmest Week of the Year - Part 8A - "Blame it on the Rain"

"Slowly pulling away from Jack’s lips, Ennis continued to gaze at the beautiful man stretched beneath him. Taking everything in, from the dark hair, to the deep eyes, to every inch of the receptive body, Ennis gazed on Jack with countless thoughts trapped in his struggling mind, destined to live a quiet life behind the thoughtful shadows of his dark reflective eyes. For all Ennis could do in that moment was smile…a small, yet revealing smile that spoke louder and said more than any words could ever express."

NEW CHAPTER POSTING

“Warmest Week of the Year” – Part 7C (Sequel to “Pine Creek”)

"During such moments, Jack was afraid to close his eyes, breathe too quickly, or think too hard…for if he did, he might miss something significant. Time with Ennis had a way of confusing his senses. Their days together were painfully finite, yet beautifully eternal at the same time…limited to so few risings and settings of the sun, and yet so continuously timeless in spirit."

NEW CHAPTER POSTING

“Warmest Week of the Year” – Part 7B (Sequel to “Pine Creek”)

“The man tasted of loneliness and need, strength and fear, desire and denial. Ennis’ conflicting emotions were always so prevalent in his kiss, Jack tasting the pain and the agony right alongside the need and the joy. It was a palpable experience that brought Jack to his knees every single time they kissed, no matter if he was sitting or standing.”

Memento Mori [

This was originally published a year ago under a different pen name.

Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Ennis/Jack (sort of)
Disclaimer: Ennis Del Mar and Jack Twist are Annie Proulx’s characters as depicted in her novella “Brokeback Mountain.” I intend no copyright infringement with this story, which presents an episode that I imagine might have happened a few months after Jack’s death. This story has no commercial purpose whatsoever.
Summary: Ennis and Jack have a passionate “reunion.”

Memento Mori

November 22, 1983, two days before Thanksgiving. A nation, two hundred million strong, is mourning the twentieth anniversary of a beloved president’s assassination.

Ennis Del Mar, one man, is mourning alone, so much alone, on the last day of what was to have been a very special “fishing trip” with Jack Twist,Read more...Collapse )

Deliverance - Part 3 [

]

[ mood | accomplished ]

Notes: Here are the last four revised chapters of a ten-chapter story I published over a year ago under a different pen name (“rvanv”) with a different title (“Smile”). The ending is substantially different and, I think, more meaningful. My thanks to AR for the kind guidance that resulted in a better story.

Rating: NC-17 for the later chapters
Genre: Drama
Summary: Ten years after Jack Twist’s death, Ennis Del Mar meets a young man who helps him deal with his loss.

Disclaimers: The characters used in this book were created by author Annie Proulx for her original novella "Brokeback Mountain." Many of the references to Jack and Ennis’s history draw on specific parts of her storyline, although my interpretations are original. Complementing her work were subsequent screenplays by Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana and finally the acclaimed film by director Ang Lee. My imaginary continuation of the saga synthesizes all three in an effort to maintain fidelity to these various contributions. I do not intend to infringe on any of the artists' copyrights, and there is no commercial purpose for this work.

Chapter 7

Another Chance

Could he draw Ennis out without another burst of tears? He doubted it, but he'd give it a try.

"Ennis. Friend. Let's talk about... um... this situation, okay?"

Chapter 1

A Stranger In Town

Tendrils of smoke swirled up around Ennis Del Mar's face as he stubbed out the last of the pack in the cracked glass ashtray. He leaned on the dark wood bar, which had been worn down by fifty years of elbows.
